Food: Length: Habitat: Spawning: Feature: Mainly fish but also take, squid and crustaceans. 3 - 4.5 mts Tropical and temperate parts of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans. In the North Pacific spawning occurs from early Spring to Summer In the South Altantic spawning occurs from November to February while spawning is all year round in the Caribbean. The swordfish is the only member of the family Xiphiidae.
