Aphids on ground flowers.
Flowers visited mainly white umbellifers.
Face, yellow-dusted either side of shining black median area. Thorax, yellowish-green with long reddish hairs. Scutellum, yellow. Abdomen, black with long and abundant, partly pale yellow or whitish yellow and partly black hairs. Wings with a conspicuous brown spot.
7 - 10 mm.
Deciduous forest, scrub woodland and hedgerows.
May - August.
