Conifer-dominated forests
and broad-leaved woodland. 5 - 25 cms diameter 10 - 12 cms. September - December. This mushroom can make about 1 in 5 people quite ill but is a good edible one if you are one of the lucky ones. The only way to find out is to try a small amount of mushroom and wait 24 hours to see if you have an adverse reaction. When picking any fungus for consumption,
