Moss-rich grassy banks, where it often occurs beside spring wildflowers such as Dog Violets.
1.5 - 6 cms.
3 - 12 mm diameter, 3 - 9 cms tall.
February - October.
Inedible,  hard to find and unsubstantial anyway. Pale forms can easily be confused with other forms of Entoloma which are seriously toxic.


When picking any fungus for consumption, caution should be exercised at all times.
