Up to 25cms diameter.
4 - 7 cms long.
Late Summer - Early Winter,
The thick white flesh is hard and has an acrid taste and is therefore best treated as inedible.
It has crumbly, rather than fibrous, flesh, and when this is broken the fungus exudes a milky latex. 

When picking any fungus for consumption, caution should be exercised at all times.
