Yes: Fatalities, however, are very rare. Hallucinogenic. It is eaten in parts of Europe, Asia, and North America, after parboiling, which removes most, but not all of the mushroom's psychoactive substances.
The name Fly Agaric comes from the fact that in many cultures, it is powdered in milk to kill flies.
