It grows in dry sandy soils, typically found at the edge of fields, in wastelands and at the side of roads.
Mid Spring - Late Summer.
10 - 40 cms.

The pale pink flowers are covered in soft hairs, giving it the downy look of a hare's or rabbit's paw, hence the common name.
