Usually found on rotting Oak. 3 - 20 cms diameter. Up to 8 cms thick. All Year round. Sheds spores late Summer-early Autumn. This mushroom is inedible due to its cork-like texture. When picking any fungus for consumption,
caution should be exercised at all times.
