 		Mainly dead wood, fallen or standing. It is found on hardwoods such as beech and oak.
1 - 1.5 cms diameter.
All year round but at their best in Autumn and Winter.
Far too tough to be considered edible.
When picking any fungus for consumption, caution should be exercised at all times.
