Common Dog-violet and Marsh Violet
Bugle, Bird's-foot Trefoil, Bluebell, Buttercups, Dandelion, Hawkweeds.
Male: 35 - 41 mm. Female: 38 - 44 mm.
Open areas within deciduous woodland.
England from May, Scotland from June. The early emergence of the species in south-west England gives rise to a partial second brood there, which appears in August.
