Woods, gardens and fields. Up to 8 cms diameter. 4 - 7 cms. Mainly spring as the name suggests but can be seen in summer and autumn. Edible, but according to most reports not to be recommended. When picking any fungus for consumption,
caution should be exercised at all times.
