Up to 10 cms diameter, 1 - 3 mm thick.
All year round but more prominent in the winter.
Inedible.
Used in traditional Chinese medicine it is supposed to boost the immune system and have anticarcinogenic properties.
When picking any fungus for consumption, caution should be exercised at all times.
