Feature:
Aquatic invertebrates such as aquatic insect larvae and small shrimps. Even tadpoles and small fish are used for food.
Up to 4.5 cm.
7.2 - 8.4 cm.
The head is yellowish to reddish. The body is usually yellow to golden colored with a dark line and hairy.
Minor differences, with the general rule the the male wings are darker.
A clutch consists of between 500 and 2000 eggs.
All Globe Skimmer records from England or France are of extremely doubtful value and may arise from co-importation with shipments of bananas.
It is considered to be the most widespread Dragonfly on the planet.
